Weather will be hotter than Tenerife and Ibiza

FROM PAGE ONE look forward to a bright and warm weather U-turn. The warmest days of the week are set to be Wednesday and Thursday with 27C expected “quite widely”, most likely in Berkshire, Hampshire and potentially Kent and East Anglia.

By contrast the Canaries holiday hotspot of Tenerife is likely to peak at 19C while Med isle Ibiza is tipped to top out at 21C on Wednesday.

Some weather experts anticipate that the UK may even get warmer than the expected 27C as thermometer levels continue to climb.

Met Office spokesman Grahame Madge said: “This would always have been a naturally warm spell.

"However, with the footprint of climate change you can expect it to add a degree or so to the values that we would have expected.
