Two held over £76m gems raid at Louvre

TWO convicted burglars suspected of stealing £76million of jewels from the Louvre with two other raiders have been arrested in Paris.

The pair, who have not been named, were taken into custody a week after the seven-minute heist at the art museum.

Both in their 30s, and from the French capital's northern suburbs, they had been under surveillance thanks to forensic evidence left at the crime scene.
