Trouble in store for B&M as millions wiped off value

SHARES in discount retailer B&M have plunged despite increased sales and a huge dividend of more than £150million.
They slumped from 360p to 316p after the company's third-quarter update.
Shares in the Liverpool-based retailer are now trading at a value not seen since towards the end of 2022. In May 2024 it was 548p.
The millions in value B&M made over nearly two years have been almost wiped out.
The retailer's revenue grew 3.5% in the three quarters to December 28 and 2.8% in the last three months of 2024.
It also reported a special dividend of £151m, which is likely to please shareholders.
