Third runway at Heathrow 'not a priority' for Britons

AIRPORT expansion, including building a third runway at Heathrow, should not be a priority, the public has said in a poll.

Just 19% of people thought building the extra airstrip was the right choice, while 61% said it was the wrong thing to focus on.

Asked where transport investment should be prioritised, 68% said improving the state of roads, 28% backed increasing the number of bus routes and 23% want more charging points for electric cars.
