'Sunak's right over Starmer trans jibe'

MICHAEL Gove has said Rishi Sunak was "absolutely right" to raise the controversial issue of transgender identity to attack Sir Keir Starmer.

The Prime Minister was criticised after he accused the Labour leader of often being incapable of "defining a woman" as Esther Ghey - the mother of murdered transgender teenager Brianna Ghey visited Parliament.

Tory MP and Commons leader Penny Mordaunt later suggested the PM should "reflect" on his remarks.
