SUELLA Braverman's future was once again hanging in the balance last night amid growing Tory anger over her explosive attack on Scotland Yard.

SUELLA'S FUTURE TEETERS ON THE BRINK

Rishi Sunak is keeping "all options on the table" after she wrote a bombshell article, without his permission, accusing the Met of "playing favourites" by allowing pro-Palestine marches.

Some Tories said "straight talking" Mrs Braverman, left yesterday, was simply reflecting public fury about the protests on Armistice Day tomorrow.

But Tory sources said party chief whip Simon Hart had been "inundated" with complaints from "very angry" MPs about the article. The insider added: "It comes after the tents row and comments about gay people. It is cumulative, and people are very angry.

"There are not many MPs going out to support her." The Prime Minister could sack Mrs Braverman, depending on the details that emerge from No10's investigations. His relationship with her was described last night as a "professional, work-like one".

The Home Secretary was meanwhile "unavailable" to deal with requests for information from No10 aides as she was at a hospital appointment with a relative.

Tories on the right of the party rallied around her last night. One ally said she had not breached the ministerial code as the article did not cover policy issues, while the language that a Secretary of State uses is up to them.
