Strike up the bandwidth

THE prospect of appearing on DRAGONS' DEN (8pm, BBC1) - of striding in and asking for X thousand pounds for a tiny stake in some business or other that I've admittedly yet to dream up - continues to appeal to me.

But I'm beginning to realise it'll have to be a long-term goal. There's so much preparation I'll need to do beforehand.

Most important of all, I'll need to learn the language. At the moment, that's the bit I think I'd struggle the most with.

To me, business speak always sounds suspiciously like guff, or occasionally twaddle. In that regard, I'll need to lose the attitude. Who knows, I might even need to "get with the programme".

There's a pair of friends in tonight's episode who I think I could learn a lot from. These women have come to seek investment in their bubble tea business. And they seem to be using all the right words.
