Streeting: Killings 'could and should have been prevented'

TRIPLE killer Valdo Calocane "could and should have been prevented" from launching his stabbing spree, Health Secretary Wes Streeting admitted yesterday.
He said if the NHS had not been culpable for "multiple fundamental failures" students Grace O'MalleyKumar, Barnaby Webber and school caretaker lan Coates might be alive.
His devastating assessment came after a probe into Calocane's treatment from the Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust found "the risk [he] presented to the public was not managed well".
Grace's father Dr Sanjoy Kumar condemned the report's findings, saying doctors caring for individuals with serious mental illness should be held responsible for putting "dangerous" people on our streets.Failures
