UK set to hit 34C with 4th heatwave
BRITAIN baked in the summer's fourth heatwave yesterday as sun-seekers prepared for temperatures to shoot up to 34C (93F) today.
The hottest weather will be in central and southern England with temperatures expected to meet the official heatwave threshold for at least three consecutive days.
Swathes of the UK have already sweltered amid two heatwaves in June and another last month.
The UK Health Security Agency issued an amber heat-health alert for the West and East Midlands, the South East, London and the East of England from 9am today until 6pm tomorrow.
