Safety fears as GPS see up to 40 patients a day

DOCTORS see more patients every day than the recommended safe level, a survey has revealed.

Some 60% of GPs have appointments with 26 to 40 people on a daily basis, the data shows.
The British Medical Association and the European Union of General Practitioners recommend that doctors see no more than 25 patients each day in order to deliver "safe care".
The "alarming" findings raised concern over doctor fatigue and mistakes.
