WALSALL boss Mat Sadler feels his side must be brave in their promotion chase after being held to a 1-1 draw with SHREWSBURY.

Charlton loanee Daniel Kanu scored for a fifth successive game when he fired in a 25-yard rocket.

But the Saddlers failed to make their first-half dominance count as Tom Anderson deflected in an equaliser just after the hour.

Sadler (above) said: “We didn’t take those chances. We needed to be braver to go and get that second goal.”

Second-placed NOTTS COUNTY won 2-0 at GRIMSBY with goals from Matthew Dennis and Alassana Jatta to land a third straight win.
