ASTHE charismatic frontman of Welsh rockers The Alarm, Mike Peters had a devoted following.

Finding fame in the 1980s with anthemic songs such as The Stand, Spirit of '76 and Blaze Of Glory, The Alarm graduated to stadium gigs, supporting the likes of U2, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
After Peters was diagnosed with leukaemia, the second half of his life was largely dedicated to fundraising for cancer charities.
Inspired by seeing the Sex Pistols in Chester, Prestatyn-born Peters formed The Alarm's original line-up in 1977, then called The Toilets.
