Resident doctors in new 5-day walkout

DOCTORS in England have announced another five-day strike in their ongoing row over job shortages and pay.

The British Medical Association said resident doctors will walk out from November 14 after also striking in July.

Previously known as junior doctors, residents make up more than half of all hospital doctors in the health service.

Daniel Elkeles, of NHS Providers, said: “Trust leaders will do everything they can to prepare but once again, it’ll be patients that will be left paying the price.”
