Protection pilot keeps 1,000 safer

MORE than a thousand victims have been made safer through tougher restrictions on domestic abusers piloted over the last year.

Domestic Abuse Protection Orders have been tested in areas including London, Greater Manchester, North Wales, Cleveland and by British Transport Police, resulting in more than 1,000 being issued.
