Tax deal in row over residency
SINGER Shakira agreed yesterday with tax authorities to pay £6million - a deal that kept her from a possible jail term.
The Colombian was accused by prosectors in Spain of avoiding some £13million in tax between 2012 and 2014, an issue that centred on her residency.
The 46-year-old waved and blew a kiss towards bystanders yesterday as she walked into High Court of Justice of Catalonia in Barcelona.
She answered "Yes" to confirm acknowledgement of failing to pay the Spanish government taxes.
