Phil: At least mum and dad went together

TV STAR Phil Spencer says his By Ellie lorizzo elderly parents "would have held hands under the water and quietly slipped away" after their car crashed into a river.

The Location, Location, Location presenter's dad Richard, 89, and mum Anne, 82, died on their farm in Littlebourne, Kent, on Friday.

Their vehicle fell off a narrow bridge and into the water as they headed out for lunch.

A carer in the car survived by clambering out of a back window to raise the alarm.

They alerted Phil's brother, who pulled the couple out of the sunken vehicle, but neither survived.
