Patients pay the price in yet more doctor strikes

AHEAD of another hugely disruptive NHS strike the public has a resounding message to militant doctors downing tools in search of yet more money: read the (consulting) room.

It beggars belief that resident doctors, public servants in positions of the utmost trust and responsibility and who have already pocketed inflation-busting pay rises, continue to hold a gun to patients’ heads.

The British Medical Association claims to be nonpartisan, but make no mistake, there is only one victim in this latest walkout: the long-suffering public.
