Signed Express coverage of moon landing worth £3k

A RARE signed front cover of a historic issue of the Daily Express celebrating the moon landings is for sale at £3,000.

The front page for July 21, 1969, was autographed by Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.

It carries the headline "Man is on the moon" and describes the momentous moment when history was made. Armstrong and Aldrin signed underneath their photos, with Collins putting his autograph below them.

The vendor kept hold of the newspaper as a memento of the landings in the hope he would one day get the autographs.
