Crawley backs spinner Bashir

ZAK CRAWLEY is backing Shoaib Bashir to take a Test debut in India in his stride.

Spinners dominated the opening match in Hyderabad as England snatched a famous win last week, prompting coach Brendon McCullum to consider playing all five spinners here in Visakhapatnam tomorrow.

With Jack Leach last night ruled out of the match due to a knee injury, Bashir's inclusion is even more likely as England look to turn the screw in the five-match series. Fellow spinner Tom Hartley shone last week, nine taking wickets on his debut, as the tourists won the first Test by 28 runs.
