Not finished yet, sunshine

SUMMER will have one last hurrah as warmer temperatures are set to cheer much of the country battered by Storm Lilian this weekend.

A ridge of high pressure pushing up from the continent is forecast to bring dry and bright conditions with 23C highs in the South today and 30C possible later this week.

Showers are likely for the North but better conditions will follow.

And the Met Office is forecasting a more settled spell of good weather for the first week of next month.
