Carrick men all at sea as Okafor helps keep Leeds afloat in Prem

MANCHESTER UNITED wilted in this 'War Of The Roses' - as Leeds took a huge step towards Premier League survival.

Noah Okafor stunned Michael Carrick’s men with two first-half goals to inspire Leeds to their first league win at Old Trafford in 45 years.

Lisandro Martinez saw red for pulling the hair of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, before Casemiro pulled one back for United to set up a frantic finish. It had been that long since United's last league outing on March 20, that a team of astronauts had been around the moon and back in the meantime.

Which felt ironic, considering United's form had almost been out of this world since Carrick took charge on an interim basis. Since he rode to the rescue, no team had won more Premier League points than United (23). Seven wins from 10 games had put the Red Devils in an excellent position to secure Champions League qualification.
