Exiled Briton flies under radar

CONOR BENN makes his Las Vegas debut this weekend, but it does not have the razzmatazz a fight in Sin City should have.

The unbeaten British welterweight advertised his clash with American Peter Dobson on Instagram as if his name was up in lights.

But it was not on one of the huge LED boards that line the famous Strip, instead a much smaller one off the beaten track.

That is probably fitting given the bout is going ahead with little fanfare, mainly because Benn remains unable to box on home soil.

Promoter Eddie Hearn is putting on the show in the afternoon in Vegas to ensure it is prime-time TV viewing in the UK.
