PLANE ENGLISH: Amid tough opposition, Sir Keir Starmer has rediscovered his love of nation’s flags

ONALD Trump is pulling down the wall between the US and Mexico.
Speaking in Spanish, the President admitted his government should have been softer on illegal migration. He made the admission shortly before heading off for a long break in France, his favourite holiday hotspot. The President has had his fill of McDonald’s burgers so has been lapping up the local French fare of snails, camembert and tripe in cider.
I am, of course, talking a load of old tripe. But it seems I am not alone. Keir Starmer spent the week telling the nation how the Labour Party had changed its view on immigration and is now the patriotic party.
It took an “ordinary, working-class woman in Oldham” raising concerns about the impact of migration on her community for the Prime Minister to realise Labour “had become a party that patronised working people”, adding: “And that is why we changed the party. Yet there are still some people who cannot listen in good faith on this issue, who say we can ignore the crisis in our asylum system.
“So long as we get the economy moving, I have to say to those people very directly, we'll tackle this issue.”
