'My shop has been robbed more than 100 times in a year'

Owner's despair at crimes and police 'inaction'
A SHOP owner says he has been robbed “every day” since opening 12 months ago but police “do nothing”.
Mohammad Sheikh has reported more than 100 incidents, but has seen no action taken against any offenders.
He says he will not be able to keep his business going much longer if something is not done.
Mohammad said his News Plus store in central Glasgow is constantly struck by shoplifters and some of his staff have been assaulted by thieves.
Since opening last November, he estimates that the scourge of shoplifting has cost the store between £15,000 and £20,000.
