Modest Howe shrugs off the comparison to Robson and Keegan

EDDIE HOWE can equal a record set by Kevin Keegan's Entertainers if Newcastle beat Wolves at St James' Park tonight.

Not since 1994 when Keegan's side were at their pomp have the Magpies reeled off nine straight wins. Among the Toon Army, head coach Howe is already being talked about in the same breath as Sir Bobby Robson and Keegan.

With Newcastle still battling on three fronts and having one foot in the Carabao Cup final, he could eclipse the pair.

Howe said: "They are club legends who are still talked about. I can never think about putting myself at their level. We just want to achieve what we can and take this club to great places.

"It's down to us. We're coming to a key stage. I sense a good feeling.
