'Migrants' benefits gravy train must stop'

TAXPAYERS are footing the benefits bill for more than 1,000 failed asylum seekers the Home Office has been unable to deport for 10 years.

A freedom of information request has revealed 1,096 migrants are currently receiving benefits and free accommodation paid for by hard-pressed Britons.

All of them first applied for asylum status more than 10 years ago, but many have exploited Britain’s system by launching repeated appeals against the rejection of their claims or deportation orders.
