A STRONG stream of resilience runs through Waterto-Go (WtG) International, a UK manufacturer of sustainable drinking bottles which are made of plant-based alternatives to plastic topped by unique filtration technology.
The source materials for its reusable Eco Active range are waste from sugar production for the bottles and recycled vegetable oils for the lids, while the globally validated filter removes 99.9% of contaminants including bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and chemicals. Beneficial minerals such as calcium are retained.
Suitable for everyone from backpackers and commuters to sporty sorts and families, WtG has a big following in the outdoor and travel markets with stockists such as Blacks.
“We deliver clean, safe drinking water from any non-salt water source for under 7p a litre,” declares founder of the family business Dave Shanks, who is especially pleased with WtG’s filter operation, based on tech developed for space travel, with each one able to replace 400 single use bottles.
