Dad blasts Duchess daughter's decision to ditch her surname

THE Duchess of Sussex’s estranged father says her grandmother would be “so disappointed” by her decision not to use the family name anymore.

Thomas Markle, 80, pictured with Meghan as a child, says she “never had a problem” with her surname “until she met Prince Harry”.

The former Suits star, 43, is often referred to by fans as “Meghan Markle” nearly seven years after her wedding.

But she now says she prefers to use “Sussex” — even though she has only visited the county once.

In the second episode of her critically panned Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, she is seen chatting to The Office US actress Mindy Kaling about fast food.
