Magpies may get Yoane in

NEWCASTLE are hopeful they can finally land a striker by sealing a deal for Brentford's Yoane Wissa. Toon head coach Eddie Howe has seen a host of hitmen slip through his fingers but there is a growing confidence on Tyneside that a £35 million offer will be enough to convince the Bees to sell Wissa. Brentford have been reluctant to lose both Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo, who joined Manchester United last month, in this window. But Wissa, below, is desperate to make the switch to St James' Park, where Champions League football is on offer, and the 28-year-old's representatives have travelled to London to try to finalise the deal.
