'Labour have no ideas to stop the small boats'

RISHI Sunak has accused Labour of opposing his Rwanda deportation plan because it does not believe in controlling migration.

The Prime Minister said Sir Keir Starmer has no clue how to stop small boats as the pair clashed in the Commons.

Mr Sunak insisted he has always been "crystal clear" about the need for an effective deterrent after the Labour leader accused him of opposing the Rwanda plan as Chancellor.

The PM said: "He is the only one opposed to a proper deterrent, not because it doesn't work but because he doesn't actually believe in controlling migration."

He told MPs: "We're debating this because we have taken a stand and we're delivering the toughest migration plan ever, to end the legal challenges and get flights off the ground.

"He doesn't have a single practical idea about how to stop the boats."
