King's focus on crowning moment of glorious year

KING Charles is gearing up to deliver his second Christmas speech as monarch, which is set to focus heavily on his Coronation earlier in the year.

It will strike a different tone to last year's address, inset, in which he paid tribute to his late mother Queen Elizabeth and thanked the public for the "love and sympathy" expressed following her death. Instead, Charles will be keen to highlight his pivotal moment this year, the Coronation.

It was a spectacular showcase of pomp and pageantry that saw Charles and Camilla officially crowned while millions worldwide watched on.

The King will thank those involved in the planning, highlighting the special roles undertaken by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their eldest son Prince George.
