Kerr is fired up for another fight with rival Jakob

JOSH KERR cannot wait to renew his rivalry with archenemy Jakob Ingebrigtsen in another titanic tussle for 1500m World Championships gold.

The pair were locked in a war of words before last year’s Olympic final in Paris, with Ingebrigtsen claiming he could beat Kerr “blindfolded”.

It appeared Kerr would have the last laugh when he ran clear down the final straight, but they were both caught unaware by American Cole Hocker, who nipped in to nab the title.

This year’s World Championships is expected to be wide open, with Ingebrigtsen battling an Achilles injury for much of the season.

Kerr was beaten into second place at the London Diamond League by Kenyan teenager Phanuel Koech in July, while Dutchman Niels Laros is unbeaten this year.
