Almost half of young adults believe the country is racist

HALF of young Britons think the UK is racist - while only one in 10 would risk their lives to defend the country in a war, research reveals.

A study into the attitudes of Generation Z- those aged 18-27 has revealed deep divides.

The survey claimed just 41% of young people were proud to be British and only 15% believed the country was a "united" kingdom.

And 48% branded this a "racist country" while 50% believed that the history-rich UK was stuck in the past.

Respect

With many European countries looking to increase their militaries in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, just 11% of Gen Zs would fight for Britain.
