Jail for teen thug who threatened to behead Aled to steal his Rolex

A MACHETE-wielding teenage robber who threatened to cut off Aled Jones's head as he stole the singer's £17,000 Rolex watch has been locked up.

Welsh baritone Jones was walking in Chiswick, West London, with his son at 5.40pm on July 7 when the teenager, who cannot be identified, approached him.

Having already noticed a Rolex Daytona on the star's arm, he pointed a machete in his face and told him to remove it or he would "cut his arm off", a court heard yesterday.

When he noticed the Walking in the Air singer, 52, was later following him from a distance, the thief warned: "Walk the other way or I will cut your head off."

The youth, who turned up late for court for a second time, was handed a 24-month detention and training order.
