Nail trimmers strong enough to cut through metal are the answer for keepers at Chessington Zoo.

One tempted Rothschild's giraffe Kito into position with a tasty treat as two staff shaped his hooves.

At the other end of the scale it was also nail trimming time for Breeze the striped skunk, which sat perfectly still in a ranger's hands.
