Arteta insists best is still to come as he urges side to push for Euro glory

- Mike Walters

GUNS BLAZING

MIKEL ARTETA has told his players they are six games from Champions League glory and said: “The most exciting part is coming up now”.

Although the knee-jerk verdicts on social media claim Arsenal’s season is destined to peter out, Arteta’s rallying call ahead of tonight’s formalities against PSV Eindhoven at the Emirates is a far cry from their doomed Premier League title challenge.

The Gunners manager is relishing the prospect of a quarter-final against holders Real Madrid or Atletico, with his side holding a 7-1 advantage against PSV after last week’s rout in Netherlands. Arteta, below, said: “We’ve done a lot in this competition and the most exciting part is still coming up now.

“That's why we have to make sure we finish the job to put ourselves in a great position.

“We have been extremely consistent, very efficient, and now we have to continue to do it.
