Guessand game to improve with Villa

ASTON VILLA’S new £30million-buy Evann Guessand says his best is yet to come - and has pinpointed Unai Emery as key to luring him to the club.

The Ivory Coast forward has joined on a five-year deal from Nice, where he scored 13 goals last season, after being tracked by Villa for the past year.

They have paid an initial £26m — with a potential £4.3m in add-ons - to land the 24-year-old, who is confident that working under Emery can help him reach new heights.

Guessand said: “I was waiting for this a long time and ’m excited to get started.
