'Giant fridge' is dwarfing our houses

Anger at cold storage unit
ANGRY residents have complained that a huge new warehouse towers over their homes like a “giant fridge”.
The 200ft-high steel-framed unit will eventually house cold storage and offices for Chinese supermarket chain Wing Yip.
But householders in Birmingham’s Nechells district claim they were not consulted, and fear the nearby building will devalue their properties.
Imran Shaban, 40, said: “They said in the one and only letter they sent us that it was going to be an indoor refrigerator...so it’s basically a giant fridge dwarfing our homes.
