Full of Hope... 1lb baby is home at last

A COUPLE whose daughter was born weighing just one pound have praised medics after she was finally allowed home after six months.

Katie McArthur said staff "saved our baby girl time and time again"

Hope was born at just 23 weeks after Katie, 27, unexpectedly went into labour with twin girls at the Royal Alexandra Maternity Hospital in Paisley, Scotland, on July 30.

She and her partner John Fry, 27, welcomed daughter Faith first, who was taken by the medical team for urgent care, and Hope soon followed.

Rollercoaster

Sadly, Faith did not survive but Hope was transferred to the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

Katie said: "We were told to rest while both babies received immediate medical support due to their premature birth.
