France to intercept boats in the water

FRANCE has agreed to lift a long-standing ban on police intercepting migrant boats at sea.
It is hoped the move will curb the rising number of Channel crossings to the UK.
The move follows increasing pressure to tackle people-smuggling gangs operating along the northern French coastline.
