Ex-shelf stacker Reijnders seals his 'crazy' City move

TIJJANI REIJNDERS has gone from stacking supermarket shelves to Premier League stardom after his £46.6million move to Manchester City.

The Netherlands star became City's fourth buy of the summer after joining from AC Milan.

And he is set to make his debut for Pep Guardiola's side at this month's Club World Cup in the United States.

The 26-year-old has had to reach the top the hard way, having worked at a food store in his native Zwolle for 12 months before picking up a first professional contract.

Reijnders said: "I didn't get a professional contract when I was 16 or 17. At one point in the summer my mother said, 'You have to get a job'.

"I was working at a supermarket. I had to sign in and I worked there for one year with my friends.
