New Hogwarts head potters along beach

HOGWARTS fans have been given a first peek at the latest Albus Dumbledore. US actor John Lithgow was seen as he filmed a TV version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone walking near shallow water at a beach in Cornwall.

He follows in the footsteps of the late legends Richard Harris and Michael Gambon as headmaster of the school of witchcraft and wizardy.

The Oscar nominee, 79, was transformed in a full-length robe and long white beard for the beach scenes and checked his lines on large cue cards held up by a member of the crew.
