Djokovic preparing for ‘a great battle’ with dangerous Dan

NOVAK DJOKOVIC says today’s second-round opponent Dan Evans is “one of the guys you don’t want to face on grass”.

The British No.5 has regained his form on the grass this summer, beating top-20 players Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul.

World No.154 Evans now meets seven-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic, who is seeking a record 25th Grand Slam title.

The pair’s only previous meeting was on Monte Carlo clay in 2021, when Evans won in two sets.
