Liam insists forward strength will light up campaign for Chelsea

LIAM DELAP believes the depth of Chelsea’s attacking talent will come into its own later in the season.

The Blues start the Premier League campaign at home to FA Cup and Community Shield winners Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Delap was one of several new recruits over the summer and scored twice in Sunday’s 4-1 friendly win against AC Milan, with fellow newcomer Joao Pedro also on target to make it five goals in as many Chelsea games for him.

The club also signed England Under-21 winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and teenage talent Estevao from Palmeiras, with more than £160million spent on new forwards.
