French raider to give big guns run for their money

- By The Scout (Melissa Jones)

DARYZ (3.35) can be dynamite for Francis-Henri Graffard and Mickael Barzalona in the £1.3million Juddmonte International.

The colt is bred to be a serious talent, with his sire Sea The Stars one of the best horses of all time and the dam Daryakana a Group One winner herself.

From the famous Aga Khan breeding operation, three-year-old Daryz has won all four of his racecourse starts in France.

Today's ten furlong highlight was first mooted when he ran past Bay City Roller for the Group Two Prix Eugene Adam at Saint-Cloud.

The bare form leaves him with plenty to find, but he was able to quicken smartly after racing keenly off a modest tempo and scored with plenty to spare.

The Graffard team have a line on See The Fire and Japanese raider Danon Decile through Daryz's stablemate Calandagan, who should have beaten the latter in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan.
