Customers get £1.5m for energy bill errors

Refunds...from Octopus
OCTOPUS Energy is to pay out £1.5million in compensation and refunds for prepayment meter billing errors.
Regulator Ofgem found between 2014 and 2023 more than 34,000 customers did not receive final bills upon moving out within the required time of six weeks.
Octopus has agreed to pay an average of £43 per affected customer, to a total of £1.48million.
