Biden: Netanyahu May Be Prolonging War For Own Ends

JOE Biden has warned that Benjamin Netanyahu may deliberately prolonging the war in Gaza for his own political aims.
The US president's interview with Time magazine was recorded on May 28, a few days before Mr Biden detailed a proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, and was released yesterday.
And the comments are likely to pile more pressure on the Israeli prime minister as he struggles with political divisions at home.
When asked whether he thought Mr Netanyahu was prolonging the bloody conflict for his own political reasons, Mr Biden said: "There is every reason for people to draw that conclusion." Hardliners in Mr Netanyahu's government have threatened to pull the plug on his coalition if he agrees to Mr Biden's peace plan.
