Brianna's mum: Online Safety Act does not go far enough

Esther Ghey, whose transgender daughter was killed aged 16 on February 11 last year, is campaigning for phone companies to take more responsibility for safeguarding children against the risks of accessing harmful content.

Under the Online Safety Act, which passed into law in November, social media companies are required to curb the spread of illegal content on their platforms and to protect children from seeing potentially harmful material.
