Furious Villa claim referee's early whistle cost them a top-five spot
UNAI EMERY accused referee Thomas Bramall of costing Aston Villa their place in the Champions League.
Villa head coach Emery, below, was furious after Bramall ruled out an opening goal for Morgan Rogers for a supposed foul on Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
Rogers was penalised for kicking the ball out of Bayindir's hands to score, even though the goalkeeper clearly did not have control of the ball.
VAR was unable to intervene as Bramall had blown his whistle before the ball went into the net.
