Decision sends message there are 'parts of Britain where Jews cannot go' says Tory leader
A DECISION to ban fans of an Israeli football team from a match against Aston Villa was last night branded "horrendous".
Supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv have been barred from the club's Europa League fixture in Birmingham next month after police classified it a "high-risk" event. But Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said: “This is a national disgrace. How have things come to this?...It sends a horrendous and shameful message: There are parts of Britain where Jews simply cannot go." She stressed on X that Sir Keir Starmer had "pledged that Jews are welcome and safe in Britain".
